Ami Gandhi, PT
Ami Gandhi, enjoys working with people from all walks of life and has amassed experience in all healthcare rehabilitation settings including acute hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, home health, and out patient clinics. Her speciality is in skilled assessment of movement dysfunctions using the “Selective Functional Movement Assessment” along with intervention methods for setting good functional movement patterns, increasing awareness of these in her clients and handing the reins for good health back to her clients.
Ami has a Bachelors of Science (Physiotherapy) degree from University of Bombay, Mumbai, India. After migrating to the United States in 1994, and being licensed as a registered physical therapist in 1995, she began improving her proficiency learning constantly from peers and imbibing the best from each and everyone. She has had 20 years in practice as a physical therapist and has a certification in Neuro-Developmental Techniques (NDT) for treatment of Adult Hemiplegia, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (Level1) and the "Y Balance Test" . Additionally, she is one of the founding members of the IFOMPT (International Federation of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists), in Mumbai, India. Ami is ready to dedicate her practice and grasp of the subtle workings of the body and mind to where it rightfully belongs- with you.
